Via nativeamericanjournalists: NAJA BOARD MEMBER ANDY HARVEY DIES Andy Harvey, a current member of the Board of Directors of the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA) passed away on May 23rd. Andy was ending his first three-year term on the NAJA Board. Andy was a member of NAJA student projects in Buffalo New York in 2001 and was recently a mentor for NAJA student projects in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2010. Andy Harvey was elected to the NAJA Board during the 25th annual conference in Albuquerque, NM in 2009. Andy was a former reporter for Channel 12 in Phoenix and most recently was the Public Information Specialist for the Navajo Nation Education Department. The NAJA Board of Directors and staff wishes to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. Andy was a great friend to all and will be missed by his NAJA Family.
